This presentation will inform and educate on how ALS affects a person and their family from diagnosis to end-of-life. We will explore the QoL factors and external pressures that manifest as a result of disease progression. A diagnosis of ALS is ominous, but there is hope.
The therapeutic community provides an additional alternative for those seeking recovery who have found traditional short-term residential programs and/or outpatient services unsuccessful. This presentation will provide processes that enhance therapeutic services through a holistic approach, including clinical support, education initiatives, medical and dental support and vocational skills training in addition to other services while in treatment.
This discussion will provide an overview of the value and important considerations in the management of the NEMT benefit. In addition to an “NEMT 101,” we will provide insight on NEMT as a member-facing experience and differentiator, the Non-Emergent Transportation vendor market, and approaches to contracting and managing vendor performance. Following the discussion, participants will have a greater understanding of their role in providing a high-quality, cost-controlled transportation experience to their members.
