Cook Children’s Health Plan is a local, non-profit health plan that has deep roots in the community. As part of the Cook Children’s integrated delivery system, the Promise stays the same—to improve the health of every child through the prevention and treatment of illness, disease and injury. Cook Children’s Health Plan offers Medicaid and CHIP coverage for children and pregnant women in the Tarrant service area. In addition, through the STAR Kids program Cook Children’s serves families that have medically complex children. Ensuring that children, pregnant women and families have access to quality health care and other services in the area through an expansive network remains a primary mission of the health plan. Having a local touch, combined with the network and backing of the integrated delivery system is what makes Cook Children’s Health Plan unique and essential in the community.
