Sharity Ludwig, a licensed Expanded Practice Dental Hygienist (EPDH), is the Director of Alternative Care Models for DentaQuest, the largest Medicaid dental benefits administrator in the country.  In this role, she focuses on developing and implementing innovative strategies and processes for community-based care, as well as models of care designed to adapt to industry shifts and ultimately achieve the quadruple aim.

Specifically, she oversees teledentistry and co-leads the unique Preventistry approach to care across the DentaQuest-affiliated Advantage Dental+ practices. Sharity is passionate about dental prevention and disease management and has published research on preventive dental care, with a focus on at-risk pregnant women and children, as well as teledentistry.

Previously, she treated patients as a clinical dental hygienist in both a federally qualified health center and private practice. Her background also includes coordinating dental services among a variety of public and private dentistry stakeholders for a public health department and serving as project director for a Phase 3 randomized clinical trial of silver diamine fluoride.

Sharity holds a Master of Science Degree in Healthcare Administration and Interprofessional Leadership from the University of California, San Francisco and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene with an emphasis in education from Oregon Institute of Technology.
