Mike Avotins is Central Region President at Aetna, a CVS Health company, overseeing the insurer’s commercial business across 17 states. Previously, he was Regional VP for the Central Region, led commercial and Medicare business for East Mid-America, and was VP of National Business and Provider Operations. Before Aetna, he held senior leadership positions at CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts. With nearly 30 years of expertise, Mike is an accomplished leader with experience ranging from operations and sales to network and provider services. Mike earned his BS from the University of Rhode Island and his MS from Carnegie Mellon University.
