Karen Davenport is a senior research fellow at the Center on Health Insurance Reforms (CHIR) at Georgetown University’s McCourt School of Public Policy. Her research at CHIR focuses on cost-containment, consumer protections, and other policy issues related to commercial health insurance. Over her career in philanthropy, consumer advocacy, and government, Karen has shaped policy and program development in public and private health insurance, maternal and child health, long-term services and supports, and payment and delivery system reform.
