Marc Reece joined the CVS Health Public Policy team in August of 2019. He is responsible for developing public policy priorities, aligning strategic initiatives, and executing the CVS Health public affairs agenda. His primary focus is commercial health insurance, encompassing issues such as health care reform, surprise billing, networks, market competition, and all traditional health insurance regulatory dynamics at the state and federal level. Prior to joining the Public Policy team, Marc spent five years as a state government affairs director for CVS and Aetna, covering over a dozen states in the Rocky Mountain region and Midwest. During that time, he managed legislative and regulatory affairs, as well as represented Aetna in front of attorneys general during various mergers and acquisitions. Prior to joining Aetna, he spent five years with the Colorado Association of Health Plans and helped the industry navigate the implementation of the Affordable Care Act. Marc attended law school at the University of Oregon and has an economics degree from UCLA. He currently lives in Denver, CO.
