Pati McCandless is the Vice President of Texas Government Relations for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas (BCBSTX), a division of Health Care Service Corporation. Prior to joining BCBSTX, she was Of Counsel at Greenberg Traurig where she represented numerous health insurance industry clients. She is an executive committee member and board member of the Texas Association of Health Plans, an appointed board member of the Texas Life and Health Insurance Guaranty Association, and an appointed board member of the Texas APCD Advisory Stakeholder Group. She previously served 20 years on the board and executive committee of the Texas Association of Business, on the board of LTC Re, LLC, a Delaware captive insurer, and the board of the Texas Health Insurance Risk Pool for 12 years. Pati has 30 years of health care policy and insurance related legal experience. She is a graduate of Texas A & M University and New York Law School. Pati lives in Austin with her husband Bruce and two dogs and a cat. She has two daughters - one is a Longhorn at UT and one recently graduated from Southwestern University.
